Naudet was a barometer maker who founded his business in 1860 and was succeeded by Dourde & Cie. In 1864 he received a highly favourable report for his barometers from the Päais Observatory, while on 26 December 1868 he received the platinum medal of the Société d'Encouragement.

The company registered patent no. 45580 for an improved barometer, which featured bimetallic temperature compensation in its design. In 1885, Naudet secured exclusive rights to the term “Baromètres holostériques” by registering it as a proprietary commercial designation for its barometers.

Naudet & Pertuis was a barometer makers founded in 1860, succeeded by Pertuis & fils.
